Under the guidance of the PAI President and Founder, we are introducing an innovative approach that is consistent with the aims and principles of the United Nation Charter and the relevant international laws, and that has a comparative advantage over the past 70 years of failed efforts of the third-party non-impartial interventions  to promote peace, security in the region, in dealing with the protracted Palestinian-Israeli conflict,

 

PAI brings.in a better understanding of the root causes of the conflict, cultural nuances, and the regional power dynamics, which allows us to introduce a tailor-made solutions that are more effective than the third-party non-impartial outsiders.

 

PAI's innovative approach is collective and comprehensive by involving all neighbours and the adjacent countries affected by the conflict, helping from within, whereas non-impartial third-parties are often perceived as pursuing self-serving agendas or purely security-focused.  Therefore the PAI's innovative approach has a greater legitimacy and regional ownership. Regional states interventions have a direct stake in resolving conflicts, as instability in one state causes direct spillover effects in neighbouring countries. 

 

PAI's innovative approach is inclusive and it integrates peace and security, with economic development in the region, addressing the structural causes of the conflict through regional integration, trade and economic cooperation.   

 

The complementarity of the PAI's innovative approach with the United Nations, is the most effective approach and is a hybrid operation and partnership, where the PAI's suggested new regional Pact handles local management, while the United Nations provides legitimacy under its Chapter VIII, as well as the oversight to ensure the intervention adheres to international law.

About the PAI 

The Peace Advocacy International (PAI) is a nonprofit policy research Think-tank organisation dedicated to advancing innovative dimensions and practical ideas to address inclusive and collective long-term peace and security building in the Near and Middle East region.  PAI  in its innovative Concept is introducing a new regional geopolitical grouping of states which have been affected by the protracted Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with a tailor-made constituency of the countries located within the Near and Middle East, in order to address the conflict as an alternative to the past failed efforts of non-impartial third-parties.  

 

Founded in 2017, PIA is led by  Dr. Mohamed Al-Mulla who holds a Ph. D. in International Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. He served at the United Nations for more than 27 years, and has contributed to global efforts to preserve international peace and security through his work in the areas of international relations, multilateral negotiations and UN diplomacy under the era of  successive four Secretary-Generals of the UN.

 

The Concept

PAI international professionals bring their policy expertise, judgement, and robust networks to their research, analysis, and best-practices. The PAI founder, based on his extensive expertise and experience in the field, has developed a new Strategic Concept Paper, “Towards regionalisation and institutionalisation of building viable, long-term and sustainable inclusive collective peace and security in the Near & Middle East (N&ME)”.

The Concept takes into account a balanced approach between the realism and idealism to advocate for inclusive collective peace and security. It also introduces a new geopolitical Pact, regional Intergovernmental Organization (IGO). The Charter of the Pact will be a hybrid regional organization (a combination  of the EU and NATO), and is in line with the UN Charter and with a tailor-made, exclusive membership to be established within the region, that is imperative and conducive for collective peace and security building among all relevant countries adjacent to Palestine/Israel, and those affected by the protracted Palestinian-Israeli conflict. 

The Aim

We aim to introduce the proposed innovative Strategic Dimension Pact, designed to foster inclusive, collective, and sustainable peace and security in the N&ME region. Our goal is to engage relevant member states of the region  (i) to support  and endorse the innovative initiative,  (ii)  and to  explore the possibility of  an offer to host the establishment  the headquarters of the new Pact  in a capital of an  interested member state of the region as soon as possible. (The hosting city will earn the distinction of being known and awarded by the United Nations  as a Cosmopolitan hub for peace within the region, in addition to earning economic revenues and political publicity).

The PAI is also committed to supporting member states in implementing the new Pact. This includes the preparation of essential documents such as the draft Charter, the Declaration of Intent, and Rules of Procedure. Additionally, we will organize plenipotentiary conferences for the Pact's establishment, alongside publishing materials, conducting lectures, and participating in media appearances aimed at enhancing knowledge and awareness around key policy issues among relevant stakeholders and the broader public. PAI is dedicated to collaborative efforts to transform the N&ME region into an oasis of peace, security, and prosperity.

 

The Vision and the Mission

To assist member states in the establishment of a new geopolitical Pact with an exclusive tailor-made exclusive membership as an alternative option to the failed efforts  of the past until present, in order  to achieve a collective and comprehensive peace and security in N&ME region, where conflict can be transformed without violence, to promote inclusive economic integration within N&ME.

The Goal

To stop immediately the protracted fighting, build trust between the parties, and to address specific issues in dispute, and to present a framework for political arrangement towards the process for the establishment of two-state solution and to live together in peace and security as good neighbours.
